Our story

It started with a batch of dog biscuits baked for a charity fundraiser.

    The fundraiser batch

    There were no proper dog treats on Mauritian shelves at all. The biscuits sold out that day, and left a question: if nobody on this island is making real food for dogs, why not us?

  2. Kitchen
    From a home kitchen to Union Flacq

    That question turned a home kitchen into a small production line: canned meals, dehydrated single-ingredient chews, baked biscuits.

  3. Patent
    SofDry, our own invention

    A patented soft dry food made entirely from human food-grade ingredients. Softer and easier to digest than kibble, with nothing synthetic in it.

We have never made it the cheap way. Real meat costs more than meal. Moringa leaf costs more than filler. Drying chicken necks properly takes longer than pressing them into a shape with a binding agent. We think your dog is worth the difference.

Questions

The things people ask us

What does “human food-grade” actually mean?
It means every ingredient we use is fit for people to eat. Most pet food is made from material legally classed as unfit for human consumption — by-product meal, rendered fat, and so on. Ours isn’t. It costs us more and we think it shows.
How do I switch my dog over?
Slowly. Mix a quarter of the new food with three quarters of the old for a few days, then half and half, then move across fully over about a week. If your dog has a sensitive stomach, take two weeks. Message us and we’ll talk you through it.
Do you deliver, and how much is it?
Yes, across Mauritius. Delivery is free on orders of Rs 3,000 and above. Below that the delivery charge is Rs 500, shown before you confirm your order.
How do I pay?
Cash on delivery, MCB Juice, or bank transfer. We confirm everything with you on WhatsApp first — you never enter card details on this site.
What is SofDry?
A patented dry food we developed ourselves. It is softer and more digestible than standard kibble because of how it is prepared and its moisture content — made entirely from human food-grade ingredients, with no chemicals or fillers.
Are the chews safe for heavy chewers?
Our dehydrated chews are single-ingredient and air-dried, with nothing added except Vitamin C as a natural preservative in the pizzle sticks. As with any chew, keep an eye on your dog and take it away once it gets small enough to swallow whole.
